It's Women in Translation month which is a joyful time for us because we have so many impressive women in translation on our list. We've published three books by Austrian writer Elfriede Jelinek, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2004. Radical feminist writer Virginie Despentes adapted her book Baise-moi into a famously controversial film. Last year we published Astragal by Albertine Sarrazin, a new favourite renegade heroine for many readers. Lola Lafon's The Little Communist Who Never Smiled imagines the life of Nadia Com─âneci, who became the first gymast to be awarded a perfect 10 at the 1976 Montreal Olympics - perfect reading to get you in the mood for Rio 2016.  And there's much more to explore besides.
